Vacancies

Beccles Town Council currently has two vacancies and is seeking applications for a Town Clerk and a Financial Officer.

 

Town Clerk

Applications are invited for the post of Town Clerk, who will also act as the Responsible Financial Officer, and Beccles Fenland Charity Trust Secretary.  Experience and qualifications in Local Government preferred.  A CiLCA qualification would be an advantage, but full training will be offered.  Good knowledge of Word and Excel is required.

Full time position – 37 Hours per week, 5 days per week.  A flexible approach is needed, as regular evening and occasional weekend work will be required.

Salary circa £34,876 to £41,881 dependent on qualifications and experience.

Financial Officer

Applications are invited for the post of Financial Officer for Beccles Town Council and Beccles Fenland Charity Trust.  Experience in Local Government would be an advantage.  Previous accounts experience required and an accounting qualification (AAT or part-qualified accountant) would be preferred.  Knowledge of Word, Excel, Quickbooks and Scribe (or similar accounting software) is required.

Part-time position – 15 Hours per week.  A flexible approach is needed.  Some occasional attendance at evening meetings will be required.

Salary circa £21,012 to £25,991 pro rata dependent on qualifications and experience.
