Councillor Mrs Elfrede Brambley-Crawshaw

I live in the heart of Beccles with my husband and two children, aged 5 and 8, who attend the Albert Pye school. As a family we enjoy many of the wonderful events and opportunities within our community. As a Town Councillor I am eager to promote and expand these opportunities and to make sure the interests of Beccles families and young people are always represented and catered for within the town. As an independently minded person, I will always put Beccles and it’s residents first.

On the Town Council I represent the Albert Pye, Crowfoot and St Benets Primary schools as outside bodies as well as Beccles Community Arts. Currently I sit on the Assets & Environment Committee, and I am a member of the Pride in Beccles sub Committee and the Beccles Fenland Charity Trust.

In 2005 I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Modern History and Politics. Since then I have worked in the education department at Norwich Castle and currently work as a sewing tutor in Beccles. The remainder of my time is spent with my family and taking part in projects within the community.

For the last two years I have run the Beccles Real Craft Festival, a not for profit event, which aspires to raise the profile of our wonderful local crafts, arts and musicians within the Waveney Valley.

I am a member of the Albert Pye PTA and also an unpaid Director of the Beccles Station Enterprise Community Investment Company.

My family and I love living in Beccles and I will be working hard to ensure Beccles remains such a wonderful place!
