Beccles Quay & Yacht Station for 2021-22

Beccles Quay offers more than an opportunity to moor your boat, as it also offers a great venue for large and small events, having hosted Fun Fairs and Music Festivals in previous years. So if you are looking for a great outdoor venue for an event, then your search may now be over. Easy access to the river and nearby marsh trails makes this the ideal place for a cross country running or an organised wild swimming event.

Parking is available in the large car park off Fen Lane with the first hour free followed by a 70p per hour charge (between 8am and 6pm) or only £3.50 per day if parking all day. Always make sure you get a ticket from the machine. If you intend to be away on your boat, then use the app to get your ticket as there are options for staying longer than 24 hours.

You can also pay via your PC, Android or Apple phone, at using the location code of 5114, but do check before paying, that you are paying to use Beccles Quay Car Park. Easy to follow instructions then guide you through the process.

For those with blue badges, we have provided 6 spaces right next to the cafe for your use.

Located on the quiet reaches of the River Waveney, Beccles Yacht Station offers not only a tranquil setting to enjoy your boating holiday, but is only a short step away from the shops, cafes and pubs of Beccles. If you wish to explore the wider area, then a regular bus service into Norwich is only a minute’s walk away, or head into town for train and bus links to local towns such as Southwold, Lowestoft or Ipswich.

Within the old market town of Beccles, with its regular Friday Market, can be found a wonderful selection of cafes and restaurants to suit all palettes. For those seeking more, then Beccles Public Hall offers a wide range of events, or you could head to our very own outdoor heated swimming pool, Beccles Lido. The Lido is also the base for the Big Dog Ferry who run trips between Beccles and the secluded Locks Inn at Geldeston.

The Yacht Station has plenty of space for visiting craft and provides toilets, showers and clothes washing facilities. Electric charging points are also available, with cards needing to be purchased from the harbour masters office at Beccles Quay – only use cards marked for use at Beccles Yacht Station which can only be purchased from the harbour masters.

We already welcome several boating clubs to the yacht station, but always welcome more, so if you feel Beccles sounds like a place you need to visit, then please get in touch.
