SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL BUDGET CONSULTATION FROM 12TH AUGUST TO 12TH DECEMBER
The council is already looking at how it can save money through staffing re-structures and reducing back office costs. We will continue to look for further savings in these areas, but this may not be enough given the scale of savings needed. To help us meet the challenge, we want to hear your views on the services which matter most to you. We would also like to hear about your ideas and suggestions on how the council could save money.
Please visit our website at: http://www.suffolk.gov.uk/WeAreListening
and fill in our survey. Copies are also available through libraries or
you can answer the survey questions over the phone on 0845 6031842 (Monday

THATCH REGISTER - Fire Community Safety
Do you own a thatched cottage/house? Please send address details (no personal
names necessary) to Fire Community Safety, Suffolk County Council, Endeavour
House, 8 Russell Road, IPSWICH IP1 2BX or comsafeadmin@suffolk.gov.UK
We want to be proactive in helping owners and residents of thatched premises
by providing them with relevant information to reduce the risk of fire
before it happen. If the Fire Service know the affected house fire has
a thatched roof, it would help to make a better judgement about the number
and type of vehicles needed to help minimise damage.

BECCLES TOWN COUNCIL GRANTS COMMITTEE: - Applications for Financial Support from Local Organisations
This form is to be used for an application for a grant from Beccles Town Council by local organisations/schools, etc. The Grant Committee meet three times a year in February, June and October and will be notified in the press the month before to advise the community that applications should be put in place. Only one application per year per organisation would be acceptable. Each application is to be supplied with an up to date set of accounts and the Grants Committee would appreciate an idea of how much grant is required. Large national organisations will not be considered.
